Matthew's New BIG Boy Bed

Ever since Matthew started sleeping in a big boy bed, we've just had his mattress and box spring on the ground. It didn't bother us or him that he didn't have a bed to put it on. Matthew didn't even notice. But today, some friends of ours gave us an old twin bed that they were getting rid of. It's a trundle bed. We thought that would be fun for future sleep overs with friends. In my mind, I didn't realize how high the bed would be - I didn't add up the height of two mattresses and a box spring. Take a look at Matthew's new big bed. It's taller than he is!




And of course he had to break in the bed by jumping on it. He's sleeping in it now. We'll see how he does getting up to go potty in the middle of the night, as he does several times. We still need to get a step ladder or stool for him to climb up.
