Our Little Ham
Jacob has figured out the camera! No matter what he is doing that we are trying to capture, the second he hears the little beep of the camera, he stops, looks up, and smiles! I love it! Here are some shots from our recent trip to the zoo. The first one is self taken of the two of us on the train. Not bad - both of us are in the picture and both of us are smiling!

We had the chance to feed the giraffes. It was our first time. Even Jacob got to try!

And here are some other fun shots from our adventure with Melissa, Natalie and Bradley.

Finger Painting Fun!
Today we finger painted with chocolate pudding. Here's the difference in the development of our children:
Here's Matthew, the typical first child, often doesn't want to get dirty (but then at other times is all boy and has no problem finding every mud puddle in the city!)He painted with "tools" and barely had any pudding on him by the end.

And then there's Jacob...who is currently at a very messy stage of eating, naturally. He had no problem diving right in (literally...) He was delighted to discover the tasty nature of the gooey stuff. He was equally delighted by the bathtub immediately following our activity. So was Matthew - he never passes an opportunity to spend ridiculous amounts of time increasing our water bill!

Print the coupon out 4 times for each computer you have (although mine let me do more)! Good from 5/5-5/19

Matthew Tricks
Mini Milestone
Jacob has really been studying his hands lately. Often while I'm feeding him, he'll hold up his hand in the air, wiggle it around, then slam it down to his side. He's been trying to figure out how it works. Well today at breakfast I had given him a large chunk of bread. He had demolished it and it was all over the place. As I sat down to help him, I watched him pick up a small crumb and actually get it in his mouth!! Go Jacob. For awhile he's been able to pick up small bites with his hand and move them to his mouth, but could never let go and get it in his mouth. But today was the day. He did it over and over and over. Then after doing it a couple times, he held his hand in front of his face, wiggled his fingers, stared for a minute. I could tell he was thinking something like, "I wonder how my hand did that...." We were both so proud!!
